Postpartum Doula Care

Congratulations, you did it! Now what? Many parents can feel surprisingly unsure of themselves during the first few weeks or months of their newborn’s life. This is perfectly normal! We are here to help your new or growing family adjust to the changes a newborn brings. North Shore Doula Care doulas will provide a gentle, nonjudgmental approach to caring for you and your newborn, lactation support, light household management, and assist with younger siblings. We look forward to providing a warm, encouraging environment in which to build your newly acquired parenting skills. We have a minimum 2 hour visit day/night.


Postpartum Depression

While the majority of parents find the early weeks of parenting to be a challenge, most transition just fine. We also know that postpartum depression can occur and are here to support your family. We are well versed in this area and will get you the help you need if it is beyond our scope of practice. If you feel that you are in or are heading into postpartum depression please call us now or have someone call for you. We receive many calls from families in postpartum crisis (it doesn’t have to just be depression.) Please know that we can help! If you feel that you need immediate care please call or have someone call 911.
